Hi everyone. I have just joined the forum. I have been living in Australia since 1968 and at the ripe old age of 75 am researching my mother's family, the McKeans. My uncle, Andrew Hamilton McKean joined the Highland Light Infantry, possibly at the age of 16, and died at Ypres in 1917. His name is on the Pollokshaws War Memorial. I am getting help from Jim, (jamiemcginlay) which is much appreciated. Hope to find more info about Andrew.

Hi Irene and welcome.
Just one thing, Andrew orginally enlisted and served as Private (2078) in the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) before joining the HLI.
