This man is remembered by the font in St Ebba's Episcopal Church. (Note the lid is not contemporary; I was told it replaced a wooden lid). He's also commemorated on the civic memorial in Eyemouth.

Sadly the combination of its position and previous "overzealous polishing" has worn away most of the plaque inscription.

If you believe CWGC he's specially commemorated alongwith another J Paterson... also of 6th KOSB... who also died on 30th September 1918... in Ledeghem Cemetery:
