There's a thread on the Great War Forum about a man serving with Lovat's Scouts who died in training and who is buried in Aberdeen (Allanvale) Cemetery.
http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=224691
He got to be the most exotic name on the Scottish National War Memorial.
Surname GOH.
Forename Teik Sinn.
Rank Pte
Service number 125664
Decoration
Place of birth
Date of death 7 April 1917
Theatre of death Home
Cause of death Died
SNWM roll LOVAT SCOUTS

The CWGC headstone schedule shows Mr E.W. Teikicone, Durbah Hall, Burmah Road, Penang, S.S. [Straits Settlement]

Has anyone come across him?

Anne - there's a bit more on his death certificate.
He was a Private (4176) with Lovat Scouts, 1st Yeomanry, Cycle Corps.
He died in the Central School building which was being used by the 1st Scottish General Hospital. His usual residence was Stanley Street.
His father was Goh Boon Kenk and his mother Lim Kwee Sean.

Both the Goh and the Lim families ran important trading companies and other junior members had been educated at Dollar Academy but it's not clear which school (in any) he had been attending in Aberdeen.

Do you think that the folks in the FHS might have more????

I looked three different ones in 1910's but didn't come up with any details.
