Shown on the sticky list as Achincorvie and Auchincorvie. Visited June 2007.

This is on the B842 road from Campbelltown to Southend at grid ref NR680166, old 1" map. It is on the wall of the old school, now a private house. Rather worn and my photo is unreadable. I tried recording the names into a dictaphone but poor batteries and a fierce wind meant all but one name of the WW1 info is unreliable.

However, the heading is clearly "In memory of former pupils of Auchencorvie school who fell in the Great war 1914-18 and the first name is Pte H Kelly, A and S.

Also "brothers who gave their lives in the second World War: SgtA/E Andrew Johnston 28/01/40 and Sgt F/eng John McAllister Johnston 01/02/45"

As this district is part of Campbelltown parish, I expect the names are also listed on that WM tho I note that it is set out by regiment. The Johnston brothers are.

Detiorated badly since 2008, the top half is now illegible. The adjacent house are trying to reapply apply the names.

The use a pressure jet washer by the council might be a factor in the condition of the memorial.
