UKNIWM No: unlisted

I received the following information and photograph from James Bell.

William was with the 45th Renfrewshire Scouts in Greenock. The 45th met in the old District Headquarters in Robertson St, Greenock where the plaque was mounted on the wall of the main hall. When our new HQ was built in 1988 at Finnart Street, Greenock, the plaque was transferred there.

It reads:-

In Memory of Corpl. William McKenzie
Killed on Active Service 14 March 1945
Dedicated by his Comrades
of RAF Station St Athan

(It measures 280 x 180mm)

Cheers,
Derek.
