Crawfordjohn Church is now a Heritage Museum and well worth a visit. Open from 2pm-5pm Saturday and Sunday during the months May till September.
The Civic memorial for the area is situated outside the building and I spotted this plaque on a wall inside the Church.
The names of these men also appear, with others, on the Civic Memorial and they may have been members of the congregation.

This has been on my list to visit for sometime. I believe that memorials from 2 or 3 other churches may have been moved here when they closed. The one in Leadhills comes to mind - so this particular memorial may have come from another church (possibly).

The names on the plaque in Crawfordjohn church are all listed on the war memorial in the churchyard.
