St Mary & All Souls opened as an 'iron church' in 1897... the current stone church being completed in 1914. It was erected to serve the Episcopalians in southern Berwickshire who'd previously required to travel to Duns or to Kelso (or, I suppose, over the Tweed).
This fine shutterred crucifix panel carries the names of 20 victims of WWI, the last outwith alphabetical order, and 1 of WWII.
When I was telling the lady who let me in about some of the other sorts of memorials I have come across recently she thought a Roll of Honour rang a bell, but told me there was none in the church although she'd look into it.
