Hi
I have pictures of the Memorial in Linlithgow Academy.
I spoke to the History Teacher at the school as they are happy to have the memorial put on line, no kids in the picture.
I am also going round Linlithgow and checking all the clubs etc to see if I can photograph any memorial they have. If this ok would again be happy to pass them on.

Frances,
A wonderful and appreciated effort. We would be delighted to see any war memorials that you can find to post.

If you've time, it might be worth checking out Donaldson's on Preston Road.
I imagine there'd have been a memorial at the old Donaldson's College building at Haymarket (which was used to house WWII prisoners of war). |

Jim
On a 'Doors Open Day' a few years ago I visited Donaldson's College at Haymarket. they mentioned its role in the Second World War but I don't recall seeing a memorial. That's not to say there wasn't one though and it may well be worth asking.
Cheers

Hi
I've got this photocopy of a Great War memorial & ROH in my file which indicates that it was from Donaldson's College in Edinburgh. I'd scribbled the source on it:
"A Silent Destiny: A brief history of Donaldson's College and the origins of education of deaf children in Edinburgh..." by George Montgomery, published by Scottish Publishers Workshop, 1997, Page 32
Adam, if you want me to copy this into a seperate topic under 'Edinburgh Schools' let me know.
Regards
LIT

Please start a new thread under Edinburgh Schools. Until we know otherwise I think we should include it in Edinburgh because we don't know if the memorial has moved.
Cheers
