Ramshorn Kirk, 98 Ingram Street, Glasgow G1 1EX

UKNIWM: Not Listed
OS Grid Ref: NS 596652

History of the Ramshorn Kirk Legend has it that in the days of St. Mungo a thief stole a ram from the Bishop’s flock and cut off its head, which instantly petrified and stuck to his hand beyond the power of removal by any means. The thief was forced to confess his sin to St. Mungo who gave him absolution and gifted the ram to him. Where this marvel happened became known as the Lands of Ramshorn.

The WW1 memorial is situated at the top of the stairs on entering the church from Ingram Street.

A very difficult memorial to photograph. No matter what the angle the inscription was nigh on impossible to read.
