The Rev Dr David Roberton of Clepington church Dundee resided in the manse in Broughty Ferry and he had I think The Rev Charles Robertson , the Probationer Rev James Whitttinghame Robertson , Argylls & commissioned 2nd Lt into BW not long before his death in action and a female twin and then Lt William Stewart Robertson MC , 10th BW attached 4/5 BW and kia .
I dont think that the Rev Charles Robertson served in the HM Forces in WW1 as he was a minister in Aberdeenshire and then died in the 1940 or maybe later in Office when an Edinburgh C of S minister .
hope this helps ( i can dig out my paper work but thats it basically from the top of my head )

Thanks Mark , thought that this Rev Charles Robertson was not a brother or relative of the two Black Watch Lieutenants James Whittinghame Robertson and Lt William Stewart Robertson . |
