I have George Farquharson's Death Certificate and his Burial info at Brechin, no headstone as a far as I can see.

Following from your contact regarding this man in September I have requested a check for his service file. That may take some time.
The DC does not confirm death due to discharge or war related causes.

2nd Lt George Farquharson 7th West Yorks has been forwarded as a case, on Derek's behalf, to MOD / CWGC as a post discharge service related death non comm ( gassing & VDH linked). His details are now in the system.

Unit Text: 7th Bn.
Age: 21
Date of Death: 07/10/1919
Additional information: Son of Frank and Elizabeth Farquharson, of Brechin, Angus.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Memorial: UNITED KINGDOM BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE
The United Kingdom Book of Remembrance commemorates United Kingdom casualties of the two World Wars who were not formerly recorded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The men and women remembered here are presently commemorated soleley by their database and register entry. The Commission will continue to investigate the grave location details.
He is buried at Brechin and a family headstone is in place. CWGC will decide if it provides suitable commemoration.
