Now that we have been running for nearly two years there is a little of bit of forum administration to be done.

For example there are some threads out there where we need photographs. We may not have photographs of the name panels or even of the memorial itself. We may need up to date photographs as well.

Other threads might not have a location, Ordnance Survey reference or a UKNIWM entry.

We will also start adding unveiling details so if they haven’t been posted we’ll list them here.

There will probably be other things needing some attention which I haven’t thought of but will be listed here too.

We will start making up a list here covering all this area’s memorials, civic, church, regimental etc. If we come across something that will need actioned the Mods. can add it to this list. If you see something that needs updated please post in this thread and we can update the list.

Not versed in these matters, but a preliminary search reveiled that only the Lewis War Memorial (just outside Stornoway) has a UKNIWM number, 8845.

It looks like ADP has now completed the last of the Western Isles civic memorials (as well as a few Church ones) for the Project on his trip along the West and North of Scotland this summer.

Many thanks to all who have contributed the photographs and information from this remote part of the country.

The Grid Ref for the Point WM is NB 510 330

It lies just beside the turnoff left (north) towards the Free Church Manse at Garrabost
