Barely legible are the names of the McNab sisters - buried at Kilbride Old Churchyard (see: HERE)

Unusual to have sisters on the memorial. Possibly added later by the look of it.

I never noticed this memorial when it was first posted but it was done by the same firm responsible for the Meikle VC memorial now in Dingwall.

"Mrs Poole, Lyndower, Whiting Bay, has received official intimation that her son, Corporal Jack Poole, was killed in a recent action in Flanders. Corporal Poole went to Canada four years ago, and on the outbreak of war joined the 13th Canadian Battalion of the Third Infantry Division."
