Some of you may wonder why your account isn't activated within a day or two. If you have not entered any personal details such as location or interests then we do not know if you are a genuine new member or a spammer. We are plagued by spammers every day joining as new members so sometime we err on the side of caution and wait for you to get in touch with us. If you have no extra details and don't get in touch then we assume you are a spammer and delete your account at a later date.
It would speed up any new account being activated by putting in just a few simple snippets about yourself which shows the Administrators that you are a genuine member.
It doesn't have to be too specific but your town or county would be appreciated in the location field and perhaps a word or two in the interests section.
Regards
Adam

Just bumping this one back up to the top.
I have not activated a new member because there are no details other than a made up username and an e-mail account. I don't know if that person is a spammer or not and I'm not taking a chance.
New members - Please when you register put some extra details in or use your real name - what have you got to hide here?! We're all volunteers on this forum and it would make the Administartors job a lot easier.
Regards
