I have compiled a list of memorials outside Scotland to Scottish Units, or units with a Scottish connection e.g. XIIth sub flotilla. There are a few gaps marked with a '?'. I will update this list when I find out more information. I will also update it if anyone posts memorials not on the list so we can hopefully create a definitive list of overseas memorials.

I have updated the list with the information provided in other posts, and links to them, and have made it a bit more readable

You could add the memorial to the Highland Brigade at Magersfontein in South Africa. I'll have a look tonight to see if there's any more Boer War memorials to Scottish units in South Africa.

In addition to the Liverpool Scottish Stone at Hooge/Bellewarde east of Ypres there is a (quite large) cairn and plaque to 2nd Battalion of the Liverpool Scottish - correctly 2/10th (Scottish) Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment) TF . It is in a small garden area immediately beside the road at the head of the Old Bridoux Road, about 1km SE of Bois Grenier France (dedicated June 2005)

I have pictures of the memorials at Intombi (Ladysmith) and Elandslaagte.
My first attempt at posting these pictures failed. I will try again

I have added eight more memorials to the list for England.

I have now updated the list with the memorials to the KOSB and Royal Scots in Berwick-upon-tweed. There are five which cover the KOSB during the Great War alone.

I have learnt that a plaque was unveiled in St Mary's church, Theydon Bois, Essex in 1998 to 30 KOSB soldiers who died on 18th November 1940 as a result of a parachute mine hitting their billet. I have taken steps to (hopefully) get a photograph of the memorial, meanwhile could you add this to the list please?

These men were from the 6th Bn. KOSB, a number of them from Hawick and Newcastleton.
I'd be really interested in seeing this memorial which until today, I had no prior knowledge of.

Theydon Bois memorial now added to the list. Well done for finding out about this one spoons.

The Theydon Bois village website mentions the incident.

1940 - Parachute Mine explodes on The Plain demolishing "The Retreats".

And an article in a recent parish magazine gives a little more information.

That's where I got the info from, I was prompted to look after finding a gravestone in Borgue churchyard mentioning that the KOSB soldier was killed in Epping. As I was attached to KOSB for nearly 3 years in the early 70s and I know the roads around Epping and Theydon Bois from cycling around them as a child, you can understand my interest! I have mailed the Parish clerk to beg for the photo, but if that does not come off I will try and impose on my brother to take a trip out there.
