The tv news last week and the Courier newspaper last week (7 Feb 2020) had a story about the BRECHIN CATHEDRAL having a meeting of the ANGUS PRESBYTERY and they are to merge with the GARDNER MEMORIAL CHURCH in Brechin as the costs of the cathedral roof etc are too expensive . It seems that this year it is the 800th anniversary of being a church in the city ! Some people are against the merger as they say that there are 500 congregation and there will be anoither Meeting in March 2020 to plan the time scale for the merger etc
