Help needed please to complete records on Closeburn WM.
Can anyone help me with following:
1) John A. Duff, RN
2) John Miller, Seaforth Highlanders.
3) James Miller, RFA.
4) Adam Robertson, Candians. all from WW1
and WW2 ...5) John J.L.S. Douglas, RAF.

SNWM lists only one John Duff under Royal Navy. There is no obvious connection so a bit more research will be needed on this man.

His attestation papers give his place of birth as Dumfries-shire and he's the only Adam Robertson in Canadian records. His mother is Elizabeth Robertson residing in Toronto.

Thanks for information,
I have a grave in Closeburn chiurchyard for a Jack Alexander Duff, who is on family grave as a wireless operator on S.S. Clan Farquhar which was torpedoned in the Mediterean, 27/2/1917, Jack was 27years.
Do not know if Jack and John same man. It records John on WM.
