Also Corporal A. Withington should have the Initial C for Charles and his middle initial E?
He is on CWGC under E. Withington, his middle initial only. He is however on Arbroath's War Memorial correctly as Charles Withington and is buried in Kirkcudbright. |

This was originally unveiled as a "war shrine" in October 1917.
Which explains why there are less names on it that the oak screen later installed as a memorial in the church. |

I have to report in the recent days Lt Col Roger J. Binks , Keeper of the Rolls at the SNWM at the castle in Edinburgh has accepted the following names to the rolls that were not listed before Viz
2nd Lieut William Lundie STORMONT , RFA, (81 Bde RFA , kia 31 Aug 1918 France ( born Arbroath )
also
Spr 739778 Lewis Hodge SIM , 3RD tunnelling Coy, Canadian Engineer , Canadian Expeditionary Forces (scots who served in other units )- Born ARBROATH , died of wounds 24th September 1917 France & Flanders
