A bit of a mystery this. I had assumed, before I saw it, that it might be an original grave marker but I'm fairly sure it's not. Any ideas? It is just within the gate of the cemetery at Sandness.

As it is supposed to mark an actual burial site it is not a war memorial under the national definition.
