Situated within St Monan's Church. UKNIWM ref 5750. OS Map Ref 523014.
(Think he is also on UKNIWM 11249 and 11224 in Harrow School but age is different)

Lieutenant Henry Anstruther was born circa 1836. He was the son of Sir Ralph Abercromby Anstruther of Balcaskie, 4th Bt. and Mary Jane Torrens. He died on 20 September 1854 at Alma, Russia, killed in action

Lieutenant Henry Anstruther gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.1 He fought in the Battle of Alma on 20 September 1854.
