Memorial is a stained glass window within Holy Trinity Church Dunfermline.

The inscription reads
"I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD AND KNOW MY SHEEP/ AND AM KNOWN OF MINE/ TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ CHARLES DRYSDALE, BOOKSELLER, VICE CONSUL OF THE UNITED STATES OF/ AMERICA AT DUNFERMLINE, 1899 - 1913, WHO DIED 21 FEBRUARY 1913/ AND OF MARY J W ALEXANDER, HIS WIFE, WHO DIED 10 APRIL 1933/ ALSO OF THEIR DEARLY BELOVED SON CHARLES, LANCE CORPORAL,/ GORDON HIGHLANDERS, WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION AT THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME,/ 18 JULY 1916 AGED 19 YEARS/ ALSO OF THEIR ELDEST DAUGHTER MARY WHO DIED 18 JUNE 1951/ ALSO OF THEIR SECOND DAUGHTER HELEN WHO DIED 24 MAY 1959/ BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART/ THIS MEMORIAL WAS ERECTED BY THEIR THIRD DAUGHTER GRACE"

Additional information: Son of Mrs. Mary Drysdale, of 12, Headwell Rd. Dunfermline, and of the late Charles Drysdale. Bookseller and Vice-Consul at Dunfermline for U.S.A. Returned from Canada to Scotland for the purpose of enlisting. Previously wounded Sept., 1915.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: Pier and Face 15 B and 15 C.
Memorial: THIEPVAL MEMORIAL
