These photographs were kindly sent to me by Catriona L from the Talking Scot Forum

It looks like the name panels have been renovated by modern monumental masons by putting a slab of granite over the original name panels. If they were in sandstone they may have worn away.

It would be nice to see older photographs of this memorial.
