Strangely the name of the son of the church minister The Rev J R BERRY , colliston U F church does not record the name of LIEUT JOHN LESLIE BERRY, Tank Corps :
Newspaper of 1918 records : Tank Corps Officer Killed :
Information has been received of the death in action of Liuet J Leslie BERRY, second son of the late Rev J R Berry, Ceres , Fife and LATTERLY miinister of COLLISTON U F CHURCH . Lieut Berry was an officer in the Tank Corps ,before joining this branch of the service served with the GLOUCESTER REGIMENT and the BLACK WATCH . His mother rsides at 5 Briarwood Terrace , Dundee . Prior to joining the army the deceased was employed with Messrs George Rollo and Co, Panmure Street , Dundee. "

Pat
When did the minister take up the position at Colliston UF do you know? If it was later in the war his son may not have been known in the parish?
Kind regards
Adam |
