Panbride - Angus District
The Panbride war memorial is a square pedestal of dressed freestone with a cornice, standing on a low and taoering rustic cairn, and supporting a rustic column surmounted by a small cross. The commemoration and names of the dead are on freestone tablets set into the face of the pedestal. The memorial stands in the kirkyard.

The memorial was unveiled by the Countess of Dalhousie in October 1920.
This has had a new panel embedded into it as you can see.

Richard Muckhart appears to have been amongst the first batch of "non-comm" submission by Terry Denham's project to be accepted 5 years ago. Although he is only mentioned on the GWF and not the IFTCP website?
A pity they never got his age recorded though.

Was struck by the name VANNET. There are only 4 men of that name on the CWGC register for WW1 and all from same neck of the woods (ish)
SNWM spell some with a double T - but they may be related. 2 sets of brothers?????

Ken, I know what you mean.
Unusual names do make it easier to find too.
The aforementioned Muckhart is the only man of that surname on the whole of CWGC for both wars.
His close namesake Muckart has four men listed. Two are brothers in the neighbouring parish of St Vigeans and one in not for away Forfar. The remaining Muckart was from Perth.
