Memorial is inside Dalton Parish Church at OS Map Ref: NY 115 740
UKNIWM 44113
I have left the plaques on either side of this memorial visible in the photo (just) because they are for Capt Murray's parents. Notice that his father died when he was just 4 years old but his mother lived for a further 51 years.
See also the memorial for Capt Murray's sister Flora, in the same church but I will post it separately.

"For Remembrance" by Sir James Gildea, published in 1911 lists this as being in Murraythwaite Church.
It also states it was designed and executed by Gaffin & Co, 63 Regent Street, London. |
