Sir,
I have a detailed History of the Mc Lachlan family of Architects/builders and monumental sculptors. The above Robert Boyd Mc Lachlan and three of his sons,William,Hugh and Andrew were also sculptors. The business only ceased in 1990.

War memorials known-Beith,Dunlop-RBMc L,Westview.

I hold notes of costs etc.Beith was indeed built on the Bigholm Hill, but was blown down in a storm. Chipping can still be seen round the plinth. It was re-erected and after another storm erected on the site it is on today in Beith town.

Hugh,Ayr.-mems.- Kirkoswald,Minishant and Patna.

William, Johnstone. No known war mems.to date.

A marble baptismal font in Trinity Church, Beith in memory of Robert B Mc Lachlan gifted by the family.

Robert B.Mc Lachlan is my great grandfather.

Anyone wishes details or copy of the family history please contact me.
Gardiner S.McLachlan.
