Whitecraigs Golf Club was founded in 1905; the WW1 memorial is situated in the main foyer.
It is known that some members lost their lives during WW2; unfortunately their names were not recorded.

The memorial is inscribed as follows:

IN MEMORY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE WHITECRAIGS GOLF CLUB WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN
THE GREAT WAR 1914 -1918 AND THE WORLD WAR 1939 – 1945

The names of the members who lost their lives in WW1 are listed in the book A History of The Whitecraigs Golf Club.
