My wife and I have just been north and stopped at Dunbeath Heritage Centre finding a knowledgeable staff member there called Neil MacLeod .

I noticed that the DUNBEATH WAR MEMORIAL for the WW2 section had some letters missing . Maybe this be reported to some authority to have them re lettered

Maybe there should be a new entry just to report War Memorials needing attention on this website ??

Council or RBLS branch ??

Just noticed that ten out of the thirty eight First World War names are men who served in Canadian Forces.

Mrs. Waters, Kilbirnie Close, Denny, has received intimation that her husband Corporal Alexander Waters, Royal Scots, fell in action on the 25th July. The information was contained in a letter from her husband’s lieutenant. Deceased was a son of Mr. William Waters, Cowie, where he worked as a coal miner before joining the colours about four years ago.

As far as I can see, he's not listed on the new(ish) Cowie Memorial.
