Situated in front of the City Chambers, the Cenotaph forms the focal point for the Remembrance service every November.

Inside the City Chambers you can view the Rolls of Honour for the two World Wars for the City of Glasgow. I've not done this yet, but when I do I'll try and get a photograph as I believe there is a small section where they are displayed.

UKNIWM Ref 23041
Location is George Square at OS Map Ref NS 593 653
As David states, the Roll of Honour is indeed inside the City Chambers (building behind the cenotaph) but is in a locked cabinet and the books are closed. I will post this separately.

Very impressive memorial I was up in Glasgow last month for a couple of days. Showed my four year old daughter around it and explained what it was for. |

Good to see a council that acts quickly when a memorial is vandalised. Unlike some others I'm reluctant to mention... |

I noticed this elsewhere.
"I was deeply saddened and not a little angered to find that the Cenotaph in George Square isn't accessible to the public just one day after Armistice Day in order to allow workies to tart up the Square in preparation for Christmas (or whatever we're expected to call it nowadays).
Whoever authorised this should be subject to an interview without coffee"

And a couple more shots. St Mungo in the dry
And yet another shot of one of Gillick's lions!
We don't have a clear photograph of the fern leaf but short of clambering over the memorial I don't know how we'd get a photo of it?
