I was unable to identify any record for Bertram Spiers Kenneth on CWGC or SNWM, only finding reference to a Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioner Record for a Bertram Spiers Kenneth, Gordon Highlanders, born 1879 at Dumbarton, enlisted 1897. Also an extract from The Scotsman, "Sgt Bertram Spiers Kenneth, Canadians, has died from wounds. He was the younger son of the late Mr William Kenneth, Lea Bank, Dumbartonshire and Mrs Kenneth, Lea Bank, Colinton, Midlothian. Sgt Kenneth was 37 years of age."

Fortunately Ken Morrison has identified him as:

Name: SPIERS, R
Nationality: Canadian
Rank: Sergeant
Service Number: 404463
Regiment/Service: Canadian Infantry, 14th Bn
Date of Death: 5/6/1916
Age: 37
Additional Information: Son of William and Agnes Kenneth Spiers, of Lea Bank, Colinton, Midlothian, Scotland.
Grave Reference: VII B 29
Cemetery: Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery.

(Thanks, Ken!)
