| Grant John 1916 Aug 29th Print field Labourer Pte in Royal Scots living at 33 Main street Barrhead - listed as single- Private Death cert states- meningitis 7 days solidification of Lungs due to poisonous gas while in the army , 3 months Confirmed by ???? Number 13749 Barrhead war memorial died at Home age 23 of the Royal Scots 2nd Batt The Son of James (Riveter Journeyman deceased) and Catherine Grant - nee McClure Deceased- Brother James of Pollokshaws who signed death cert |
