He was an engine cleaner living with his mother at 54 Darling Street, Glebe, Sydney, New South Wales when he enlisted in December 1915. He sailed from Sydney in March 1916 and landed at Marseilles in May. He joined his battalion in August.
Born c.1893 in Glasgow. Son of Harriet (Sullivan) Paxton, later Morrison, of 54 Darling Street, Glebe, and of 143 Francis Street, Leichhardt, Sydney, New South Wales.
