I have found some information that this was a well known Glasgow club which had 186 members in 1888 and used a public swimming baths. It was one of 59 clubs in Glasgow and District in 1910.

My Grandfather Daniel McInally was a Glasgow member of this swimming club who served in World War One with the Irish Guards (I can see his name on the memorial in the Glasgow Museum Resource Centre). I recently came across a Northern Amateur Swimming Club trophy (The Challenge Cup) that he was allowed to keep after winning the competition 3 times in 1913, 1914 and 1919. The competition began in 1891. Henry Shanks won the trophy in 1909 and J Hanley in 1910 who were both sadly killed in action in 1915.
