On 5th November 2009 a Memorial Plaque was dedicated to Black Watch soldier Private Kevin Elliott, aged 24 years who was killed in action in August 2008. The Memorial Plaque was dedicated and unveiled at his former school, Braeview Academy, Dundee.

The Press & Journal report covers the unveiling in the presence of colleagues from his Black Watch Battalion, 3rd Bn Royal Regiment of Scotland
