Update from Photobucket.
IF YOU HOST IMAGES FROM A FREE PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT,
READ THIS IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Your images may be blurred and watermarked if you exceed new bandwidth limits
What are the new limits?
Effective September 9, 2019, each free account will be limited to a total of 25MB of bandwidth for all hosted images (calculated on a rolling 30 day basis)
Who will these changes affect?
All members who host images from their free account.
Why are we charging for excessive hosting?
Please see our blog to better understand why we are making these changes.
Are you Hosting Images?
You are if you have posted an image from your Photobucket account to a blog, forum, social media site or other website using either an HTML or IMG link.
What happens if you go over your limit?
Your hosted images will be watermarked and blurred. To restore hosting privileges, simply purchase either an intermediate or expert plan subscription plan which will not only give you unlimited monthly bandwidth but also larger image storage limits.
Therefor unless a subscription is purchased by individuals all photos posted by them will be 'blurry'. There may be no recovery for accounts of those sadly passed away unless these were copied/backed up by other members. |

I bit the bullet last November and signed up to the forever plan (no longer available). The price was $48.38 per year, guaranteed for life.
If I was to sign up now, it would be $75.50 per year (no guarantee on future pricing) but I think it is a price worth paying for what you get. That's for the intermediate package by the way.

I basically only used 'Photobucket' for here.
Unrealistic to pay that annually.
They're still viewable in focus if you click. |

So they are not "proud to host" anymore, just back to being money grabbing "thingies". _________________ Ken |

I have a paid account with Photobucket - I would be willing to host the photos of anyone who would be happy to send me copies of their photographs. I would need some guidance as to what pages of the sit your photos are hosted, but if you would like to send me a private message we can get the ball rolling on getting some of the images back on the site.
(This will be a "first come, first served" offer, and depending on how many images are concerned I may have to turn down some takers, but message me and we'll discuss it) |

That's very generous, David. When I get time I think there's a couple of cemeteries with ex-military graves Wiston and Roberton). Interestingly, while some of your photos come out clear, others are still fuzzed out (e.g Carstairs Cemetery).
Is there any money in the pot to subsidise your spend? |

Hi David - I have a new set of detailed photos of the Tramways Battalion memorial in the Riverside museum. I think that yours at http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=99 are at least as good as mine but they are blurred. Will you be sorting those, or would you rather that I posted mine?

Photobucket sending out emails saying all accounts which don't pay will now be "Deactivated".
Looks like images will go offline (not just blurred/watermarked). |
