Vickers Wellington Bomber T2953 of No23 Operational Training Unit took off from RAF Pershore, England to practice circuits and landings.
During the exercise, while turning at very low altitude, control of the aircraft was lost and it crashed into a thickly wooded area not far from the airfield.
All five crew members were killed.
