Walter Baillie died 18 January 1916. Formerly a Lance Corporal in the Royal Engineers he was discharged as not physically fit. Cause of death is pulmonary tuberculosis. As this had lasted for 2 years it is likely that he was suffering from it prior to enlistment and there is no proof that war service exacerbated the condition. |
