Just spotted this in the minutes of Dunbar Community Council. A new memorial to two New Zealand Air Force men who died when their Beaufighter crashed on a training mission from RAF East Fortune. https://dunbarcommunitycouncil.org.uk/unveiling-a-memorial-for-two-young-new-zealand-aircrew-from-ww2/

WMR 84114.

As I have had to do it for the WMR report this is the transcription-

On the Stone above the plaque-[NZRAF Wings]/IN COMMEMORATION/OF A WORLD WAR II/BEAUFIGHTER AIR CRASH
Plaque-Pilot Flying Officer Harry Kenneth Lillington Rice NZ4216075, Age 21,/No 132 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit,/buried at St Martin's Burial Ground, Haddington, East Lothian/
Navigator, Flying Officer Aubrey John Clarke, NZ429177, Age 23,/No 132 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit,/buried at Edmonton Cemetery, Enfield, Middlesex/Their aircraft took off from RAF East Fortune just before midnight on 2nd May 1945/for a navigational exercise over Berwickshire. Three hours after the aircraft/was heard calling the base, but when the base responded, no reply was heard//The Beaufighter had struck high ground rising to around 396m (1,300 ft) above sea level,/approximately 16km (10 miles) North West of Abbey St Bathans.//It is believed that the radio equipment had failed and that the crew were lost. It was while they/were descending through cloud in order to pinpoint their position that the accident occurred.//The pilot and navigator were from New Zealand and served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force./Sadly both men lost their lives in the plane crash on 3rd May 1945.//After a long search in blizzard conditions, not far from where you stand right now/the aircraft was eventually found on high ground between/Middle Monymut and Stottencleugh farms.//Community Windpower have installed this plaque in memory of the lost crew.
On the Stone below the plaque-LEST WE FORGET
