On a holiday up north, we stopped at Bruar, on the A9, to stretch our legs and saw this new memorial. It must have been erected since April 2006 when we were last there.
I must admit, it's better than the piper at Longueval.

I can't argue with you on that one.
I really like this new memorial - does anyone have any further information on it as it is so new?

Hi Derek,
Rather than put a link to the Clan Donnachie why don't you put their photos (with their permission) on the Forum - I think it would be more logical to see what is obviously the unveiling ceremony on the Forum and their photos should go first on the thread. If you can get a commentary on their photos it would be so much better.
Personally, I think that the memorial should stay on the 51st HD thread rather that start a new one for Bruar after all it (Bruar) isn't a village or habitation, simply a shopping stop off.

I moved this Memorial to is own thread, opposed to being contained in one for the 51st HD at Perth, as it is a separate memorial in another location - albeit both are to the 51st HD. Those for the 51st at Breville and Schijndel also have their own particular thread.

There are many memorials here and in very different and sometime isolated locations so I'm not sure what you mean here.
However I have no probs deferring to the Mods for their thoughts.
