The Church sits at the edge of Clunie Loch about 3 miles west of Blairgowrie.
The WW1 Roll of Honour sits in a small recess of the vestibule at the front door. Again it was very difficult trying to get decent pictures of it. I think a lot of work has gone into the design and it is quite ornate for a church memorial scroll.

Derek,
Great spot for the scroll and x-reference to Newcastleton, thats amazing
I've just managed to blow up the firms name in the bottom left hand corner of the scroll - Banks & Co. Ltd, Edinburgh. No further info though. |

Blairgowrie Advertiser Friday 4th August 1922
CLUNIE
A Roll of Honour of the men in the parish who served in the Forces during the War and also of those who made the supreme sacrifice, has been placed in the Clunie Public Hall.
The Roll is of artistic design and beautifully executed and ,for many years to come,it will no doubt be a cherished possession of the community,to whom it was kindly gifted by Messrs WH Cox of Snaigow and James Speid of Forneth.
I wonder if Clunie Public Hall still exists? |
