Well done James. I'm intrigued by the ref. to the RAMC on the Medal Card.
He won't be on SDGW (nor, usually, on SNWM) as he died after the war had ended. I've never been able to get an accurate "cut-off" date but I assume it was 11/11/1918.

Hi Ken

There isn't anything on the rest of the card to reference RAMC so not sure about that.....it looks as if its an entry added later for some reason as it would be in the first or second column of the card.

I agree about the cut off date. Ive come across maybe about half a dozen searches with 2 days over..... 3 days over the 11/11/18. And they aren't on the SDGW data base.

It was only because I'd been caught out on something similar recently that made me go back and look at the memorial photo Wink

As far as a local connection, this might help (but I'm not sure of my geography)

7366 Cpl. A. Henderson, Sco. Rif. (Tarbolton).
For conspicuous, gallantly and devotion
to duty. With another man, he reconnoitred
the ground in front of the position for 600
yards, in broad daylight, capturing an enemy
machine gun and killing the team. As the
result of this action the line was advanced
600 yards and the gain consolidated.
