TO THE GLORY OF GOD & IN EVER LOVING MEMORY OF / WALTER LLOYD CAPTAIN ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS / KILLED IN ACTION AT ANZAC GALLIPOLI 7 AUG 1915 / AGED 41 SECOND SON OF THOMAS AND ANNE LLOYD / "I THANK MY GOD UPON EVERY REMEMBRANCE OF YOU" / "One who never turned his back, but marched breast forward." / PLACED HERE BY HIS MOTHER

Mentioned in Despatches

Son of Thomas and Anne Lloyd (nee Campbell), of Leghorn, Italy, and Minard, Argyll.; husband of Phyllis Lloyd.
Born at Bagni di Lucca, Italy.
Joined the Royal Welch Fusiliers as 2nd Lt. in 1896. Retired as Capt. in 1911. Recalled at the outbreak of war and embarked for Gallipoli 28th June, 1915.
SHRAPNEL VALLEY CEMETERY Gallipoli.
