This is the memorial to the Ayrshire Yeomanry in Ayr old parish church. I took the photograph years ago but if memory serves the church is just off the High Street in the vicinity of the Wallace Tower. Sorry about the poor quality of the photograph but its all I have. I believe the tablet may be the work of sculptor Alexander Carrick (who perhaps received the commission thanks to his surname?). Among Carrick's business papers lodged with the National Monument Record of Scotland Office, Edinburgh, Manuscript Collection 22, there is a copy of Carrick's letter dated 15th August 1923 stating that he had decided to cast the memorial in oxidised silver bronze.
