Hmm, maybe it's a price worth paying. That said, it is annoying to have the splash obliterating names on some of the memorials. |

It's not ideal, but as Mike says it's maybe a price worth paying.
There have been other watermarks on photos on here, which we couldn't do anything about.
I say we grin and bear it unless someone can come up with an inexpensive, convenient alternative. All the options I've explored haven't been much of an improvement. Flickr is ok, but the task of moving all my photos is not an easy one which is why I'm doing it on and off whenever I have time. |

But for how long will they be hosting them (proudly or otherwise!) ?
Is still don't understand why our photos re-appeared.
Was there a deal struck?
and what happens if my account remains inactive - they used to be pretty prompt at posting cats instead. _________________ Ken |

Our photos reappeared because I believe there was a change in management at Photobucket who realised that they had made a mistake in removing all photos online.
They had a change of heart after all the bad publicity they received, and this seems to be their alternative. |

I don't like the logo on some of the photos as it's in the way of info. _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire. |

In most instances if you click on the photo it will take you to the page it is hosted on Photobucket where you will see the image without the watermark.
If that doesn't work, right-click on the image and select "open image in new tab". |

Yes,
I am. They were fine early this morning, then suddenly vanished just before 8am. From 6.30 to 7.55 I was looking at Kilmorack Cemetery, then when I went to look at the next cemetery there were not there, so went back to Kilmorack, and half a dozen other cemeteries, and all the images were just tiny postage stamps, if there at all. My browser is saying there is a problem with the photobucket server, when I tried to investigate
** PHOTOS WERE BACK UP BY 1 PM SAME DAY SO DOES SEEM TO HAVE BEEN A SERVER ISSUE**

I looked at the latest offer and decided to pay up at last.
£37.74 per year for 1TB (100s of thousands of pics) and guaranteed price fixed for life.
Seemed reasonable, I paid and my photos now have no logo on them and my photobox library is now only 1% full.
Offer only lasts to 30th November

Since Flickr have now introduced a limit of 1000 images total, I might go for the Photobucket offer as well. |

Well, not all of them. It appears that Paul's (Spoons) ones are still in focus. Am I correct in thinking that he paid the fee? |

I thought it was my laptop being funny, because they are all in focus on my Kindle fire tablet, and oddly the photobucket logo isn't there on the tablet, but is on the laptop!!
Very odd |
