This is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Cross of Sacrifice erected as there are a number of war graves in this cemetery.

The memorial is a Latin cross which has an octagonal section three tiered base. The dedication inscription is on the topmost tier and faces the main entrance gates to the cemetery. A second inscription is on 4 faces below the main inscription. Above the base is a cross which is again octagonal in cross section including the arms. An inverted brass sword is applied to the main face of the cross. The memorial is set on a grassy area immediately inside the Craigton cemetery main gates off Paisley Road West. It is the first monument you see within the cemetery. Approximate total height is 5 to 6m.
