The church at Logiealmond no longer exists. These plaques were moved to Methven Parish Church, now Methven & Logiealmond;

I was very interested in this post concerning the plaques, particularly in the second one as the two Kinmonds were Great Grand Uncles. I had previously seen their names on the War Memorial at Harrietfield. Although they both had the first initial J, I had no idea which was John or James. My Great Grandfather survived the war but I'm not sure which regiment, though I suspect it was the Scottish Horse. He died in 1960 but I have some memory of him even as a 3 year old.
Keep up the good work. |

From The Scotsman, Wednesday 10th November 1920.
LOGIEALMOND
The Parish Church of Logiealmond (Ian MacLaren's "Drumtochty") has been restored under the charge of Dr Thomas Ross, architect, and two beautiful panels have been inserted behind the Communion table, bearing the names of fourteen men from the parish who made the supreme sacrifice. The United Free Church congregation united with the Parish Church for the dedication service, which was conducted by the Rev. Dr Norman Maclean, assisted by the Rev. James Grieve, and the Rev. J. E. M'Cuat, United Free Church. There was a crowded congregation. The memorials were unveiled by Mrs Archibald Murray of Logie House.
