I'm reasearching the village of Burnbanks in Nigg and have traced the three men listed on the memorial from the village. James S Coutts' inscription states Burnbanks but I can't confirm any link to the village. Several researchers are looking at the ship SS Norwood he was lost on and between us we have contacted six descendants and have a wealth of information which we'd be glad to share.

Can anyone help with linking James Coutts to Burnbanks? I have his census records, employment records, birth certificates etc but the only confirmed link is the inscription on the memorial.
Regards
Joe McLeod
