In Tiree Parish Church at Heylipol there is a brass plaque in wooden frame for WW1. This is WMR report 78078 which includes photographs.


It reads:

1914 1919/TO THE GLORY OF GOD/AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE MEN OF/HYLIPOL PARISH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/[25 names in 2 columns with 1 extra at the base]/"GUS AM BRIS AN LA, AGUS AN TEICH NA SCAILEAN"

14 of the 25 men were Merchant Navy Men
