Researchers at the University identified the 19 additional names by using digital resources and confirmed their connection to the University using student records held by the University of Glasgow Archives.
Now, 100 years after the war, their names will be carved in stone alongside those of the men and women already remembered in the University Memorial Chapel, and their families invited to memorial services on Remembrance Sunday, on November 11, 2018.
“Now, thanks to digital resources, online research, and collaborations with both local projects, such as the Scottish War Memorial Project and the Inverclyde Great War Project, and national initiatives such as the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War project, we have been able to add more names to the Memorial Chapel.”

One of those identified is named on the Whithorn Burgh Memorial in Wigtownshire as:
ARCHD. J. S. MORRISON,
Archibald James Shanks Morrison – age 19 – Private (33073) 2nd Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers. Formerly Private (17773) 56th Training Reserve. (Source:SNWM)
“Jimmy” was a student at Glasgow University when he enlisted. He matriculated for the academic year 1916/17 and passed the subjects: Maths, Chemistry, and Natural Philosophy. He only studied one year of his BSc degree, however, before going to war. (Source: Glasgow University Roll of Honour)
Born 1898 in Whithorn. Son of Samuel Dickson Morrison and Elizabeth Muir (Shanks) Morrison of Whithorn.
Killed in Action on 23 May 1918 and buried in Tannay British Cemetery, Thiennes, France.

Thanks for that, which I have added to the WMR report 23068. Unfortunately that report does not currently have either the original 780 WW1 names on it, or the 250 or so WW2 names, something to be actioned later, if I can find them
