The Second World War names look like quite a modern addition. Although the names are clearer, and there are a lot I notice, it's a shame they didn't take as much trouble with the decoration on the plaque around the names as they did for the Great War names.

I was going to suggest that there cannot have been many Army men awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross but the London Gazette has this:

War Office, 20th September, 1945.
The KING has been graciously pleased to approve the following awards in recognition of gallant and distinguished services in Italy: —
The Distinguished Flying Cross.
Major (temporary) John Sayer STORMONTH-DARLING
(77297), -Royal Regiment of Artillery (since died).
Captain Stanley Winrow BARROW (66955), Royal
Regiment of Artillery (Aylesford).
Captain (temporary) William Harvie BUCHANAN
(151362), Royal Regiment of Artillery (Rutherglen).
Captain (temporary) Ronald FORBES (207363), Royal
Regiment of Artillery (Manchester).
Captain (temporary) Aubrey Stanley Colin GANDER
(190850), Royal Regiment of Artillery (Coventry).
Captain (temporary) Ian Noel KENDAL (180423),
Royal Regiment of Artillery (London, S.W.I5).
Captain (temporary) Lionel John WHEELER (222179),
Royal Regiment of Artillery (Stowe, Bucks).
Captain (temporary) David WYLIE (258904), Royal

CWGC has
